The UVic Real Estate Club is a non-profit, student-run organization that works alongside the University of Victoria and top real estate companies in the area to increase student involvement in the Victoria housing industry. Founded in July 2022, the Club aims to have a positive impact on the Victoria real estate industry as a whole, engaging with public hearings and sharing a much-needed student perspective.
Liza Rogers, Founder of WREN, recently met with the organizers of the Club and was impressed with their energy and passion. She's offered to make connections in the community and help extend the Club's reach among women.
The UVic Real Estate Club is presenting a “Women in Real Estate” panel on March 14th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on the UVic campus.
The Club's Director of Events, Sierra Murguly, says: "Due to the lack of real estate education at UVic, we have received tremendous interest from students wanting to learn about the industry. Unfortunately, while we have seen strong interest from female students, it has proven difficult to get them involved given we have a male majority membership base. As such, this panel feels like a great opportunity to reach this underrepresented demographic by showing them the amazing things women are already accomplishing in the industry."
WREN members are welcome to participate in UVic Real Estate Club's events and to join their network. |
