How Far We’ve Come
WREN Member Accomplishments:
- Started the planning process for a unique townhouse project in Campbell River with rental units ideal for multi-generational families and students
- In the middle of renovating a mobile home in Campbell River
- Investigating a proposed Coliving heritage conversion in St. John's, Newfoundland
- Submitting an offer to purchase two properties that we envision as a student or multi-generational 14-bed Coliving house next to the University of Waterloo in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario
- Restored wetlands at a 145-acre Sooke, BC property and began planting 4,500 native trees in preparation to sell 5 ten-acre parcels
- Built a barn house and started to create the centre of a new equine therapy centre on above-mentioned property in Sooke
- Received approval for and sold the first phase of a Cohousing project in Grand Forks, BC; beginning phase 2
- Began the planning phase for a Cohousing/Coliving project in Sechelt, BC
- Laid the groundwork for WREN members to sponsor a Ukrainian refugee family
- Exploring an opportunity to work with the preservation committee involved in saving a 50-acre national historic property (Swiss Village) in Golden, BC
- Mentored, supported and connected women along their journeys of creating budgets, setting goals and making responsible investments
- Continued to grow our sponsorship support by attracting new businesses in alignment with our goals
- Acquired and renovated a luxury waterfront townhome on Victoria's Dallas Road
- Purchased a heritage style 4-plex in Victoria
- Cemented a strategic partnership with a Canada-wide digital platform connecting people with Coliving spaces
